Location: Leeds & Bradford Schools
Contract: Short-term, day-to-day cover
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £150 - £200 per day (dependent on experience)

NextGen Teachers are seeking a flexible and committed Secondary Supply Teacher to support a variety of schools across Leeds and Bradford. Our mission is to add real value to the education sector - not only through specialist recruitment expertise, but also by hosting networking events, delivering workshops, and building strong local communities.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate, adaptable teacher who enjoys variety and wants to make a meaningful impact across multiple school environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the curriculum and any pre-prepared materials.

  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.

  • Manage behaviour confidently and in line with school expectations.

  • Support the learning needs of a diverse range of students.

  • Quickly adapt to different school settings, following each school's policies, procedures, and routines.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience (ECTs are welcome to apply, though schools cannot sign off training due to the nature of supply work).

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • A calm, supportive, and nurturing approach to teaching and pupil development.

  • Genuine passion for making a positive difference in education.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.

  • Solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities.

  • Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt to a variety of school environments.

  • Confidence to deliver lessons across a range of subjects.
