Do you have experience supporting young people with SEMH needs, anxiety or additional learning needs?

A supportive secondary school in Crawley is seeking a calm and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 11 pupil who benefits from help with confidence, anxiety and emotional regulation.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help a student stay engaged in learning and successfully complete their final year of school.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 classroom support for a Year 11 pupil
• Support learning in a quiet, structured workspace when needed
• Break tasks into manageable steps to support engagement
• Offer encouragement and reassurance to support confidence and emotional regulation
• Work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to adapt learning

Ideal for

• Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants
• SEN Teaching Assistants or SEMH Support Staff
• Behaviour Support Assistants / Behaviour Mentors
• Youth workers or support workers
• Psychology or education graduates

Experience supporting SEMH, anxiety, behaviour needs or SEND is highly desirable.
