Why Schools and Education Professionals Choose Us

5

Since opening our school, we have partnered exclusively with NextGen Teachers for all of our staffing needs. With the challenge of building a strong team quickly, their support has been invaluable. To date, we have successfully appointed over 20 SEN Teaching Assistants, 3 Teachers, and 6 Cover Supervisors/HLTAs on a mix of temporary-to-permanent, fixed-term, and permanent contracts.

What sets NextGen Teachers apart is their genuine understanding of our school. They regularly visit to meet both staff and pupils, ensuring that prospective candidates gain a clear sense of our values and ways of working. The use of trial days and interviews has been particularly effective in helping us find the right fit for our team.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with NextGen Teachers for both emergency cover and long-term recruitment as our school continues to grow.

SEN Trust school - providing all staff
5

We initially started working with Next Gen last academic year, we were in need of a teacher with SEND experience at short notice. Finding the right candidate to cover a vacancy in our setting setting is usually really tricky, but the response time from Next Gen was quick, the meet & greet was set up efficiently and the candidate was a real success (we recruited the teacher recently and offered her a permanent contract)

After this initial success we approached Next Gen to source some Learning Support Assistants (LSA's) . We were keen to find some male LSA's and Next Gen have provided these for us, they are reliable and attendance is good.

We also have a second teacher now working with us daily via Next Gen, she is also very well suited to our provision and is very much a key part of our staff team.
Communication with Next Gen is effective and most importantly, not overwhelming.  School days are extremely busy and we do not have the capacity to answer numerous emails or phone calls, we just need a quick response when something is required.  And Next Gen provides this, not just in term time but also in non term time too.

Free SEND CPD worth knowing about - for SEN schools

There is a great deal of SEND training available and not much time to sift it. Most of what arrives in an inbox is paid, and some of the best material is free but poorly signposted.

Where do SEN schools sit in a reform written for mainstream?

Read most coverage of Every Child Achieving and Thriving and you'd be forgiven for thinking SEN schools weren't in it. The language is inclusive mainstream, Inclusion Bases, Individual Support Plans, and a tiered model of support drawn from the perspective of a mainstream classroom. SEN school leaders have been asking a sharper question: where does that leave us?

GCA RM6376 Explained: Your Questions Answered

The education recruitment landscape shifted significantly when the GCA RM6376 framework went live in April 2026. Since then, school leaders across the country have been getting in touch with broadly the same set of questions - and understandably so. A new procurement framework, a looming September deadline, and updated supplier rules all landing at once is a lot to absorb.

This page pulls together everything you need to know in plain English, so you can get on with what matters most: running your school.
