12 week temp to perm - £120 - £130 per day

Are you an English graduate, tutor or cover supervisor looking to gain classroom teaching experience?
Would you like to teach Key Stage 3 English with full support and Schemes of Work already prepared?
A specialist SEMH secondary school in Redhill is looking for a confident English Tutor to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience while working in a supportive environment with strong leadership and small class sizes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Key Stage 3 English lessons using existing Schemes of Work
  • Delivering small group literacy and English interventions
  • Supporting students with SEMH needs to engage with learning
  • Working alongside the English Lead for guidance and mentoring
  • Helping students develop confidence in reading, writing and communication

Planning support and curriculum resources are already in place, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging lessons and supporting student progress.

We welcome applicants with experience such as:

  • English graduates considering teaching
  • Cover supervisors looking to teach their subject specialism
  • Tutors or intervention specialists
  • Teaching assistants / HLTAs with strong literacy skills
  • Individuals with experience supporting SEMH or additional needs

You will need:

  • Strong English and literacy skills
  • Experience working with young people (school, tutoring, youth work etc.)
  • A patient, positive and resilient approach
