Contract: Temp-to-perm (term time only)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Start: ASAP
Pay: £90 - £95 per day

NextGen Teachers are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive specialist primary setting in Leeds. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping young learners build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

The school supports children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, or learning challenges. You'll provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, assist with engaging learning activities, and help create a safe, nurturing environment. The role also includes supporting transitions, play, personal care (where required), and enrichment activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience supporting children with complex SEN

• A patient, empathetic approach with positive behaviour strategies

• A genuine passion for working with young children

• A strong understanding of safeguarding

• Team Teach training (or willingness to complete)

• An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

• GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English, Maths, and Science
