Cover Supervisor

Location: Leeds
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm (term-time only)
Start: ASAP
Pay: £100 per day

NextGen Teachers are seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Leeds. This role is ideal for someone with classroom experience who can maintain a positive, productive learning environment when the teacher is absent.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 & KS4
• Maintain a calm, focused classroom and promote positive behaviour
• Support pupils in staying on task and completing set work
• Follow school policies and report concerns to senior staff

Requirements

• Classroom experience as a Teaching Assistant or Teacher (essential)
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Confidence leading a classroom
• Strong understanding of safeguarding
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
• Minimum 4 / C in English and Maths GCSE
