£90-£110 per day | Flexible Days | 8:30am-3:30pm

NextGen Teachers is excited to be working with a newly established partnership of secondary schools across Wakefield and is looking to recruit enthusiastic and professional Cover Supervisors. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in secondary schools who want flexible, rewarding work in education.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support the learning of students in the absence of teaching staff. Your role will include supervising lessons using pre-prepared work, maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment, and managing behaviour according to school policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons and support students with set work

• Maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively

• Follow school procedures and safeguarding policies

• Provide general support to teaching staff as required

• Experience working in secondary schools

• Professional, approachable, and positive attitude

• Passion for supporting young people

• Strong communication and behaviour-management skills

• Reliable, adaptable, and able to work across multiple school sites
