SEN Supply Teaching Assistant

Location: Leeds & Bradford
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-3:30pm (term-time only)
Start: ASAP
Pay: £90 - £95 per day (dependant on experience)

NextGen Teachers are seeking flexible, caring SEN Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day cover across a variety of supportive schools in Leeds and Bradford. This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive in safe, inclusive settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support
• Assist teachers with engaging, accessible lessons
• Promote positive behaviour and a calm learning environment
• Support inclusive practice for pupils with additional needs

Requirements

• Experience working with children (SEN experience desirable)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of safeguarding
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
• GCSEs (C/4) in English, Maths & Science
• Level 3 childcare/teaching support qualification desirable
