NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting Qualified Primary Teachers to work as PPA and Cover Teachers across a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout the Wakefield area.

Due to increasing demand from our partner schools, we are looking to expand our team of reliable, enthusiastic, and adaptable supply teachers who can provide high-quality classroom cover across EYFS through to Year 6.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers and ECTs who enjoy variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to work across different school settings while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

The Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups from EYFS to Year 6.
• Provide PPA cover and planned or emergency teacher absence cover.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils.
• Follow each school's behaviour and safeguarding policies.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school settings.
• Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and pupil engagement.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Primary Education.
• Experience teaching within UK primary schools.
• The confidence to teach across all primary age groups (EYFS - Year 6).
• Weekly availability for supply work.
• The flexibility to accept morning bookings, including same-day cover where required.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships quickly.
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach.
