NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Primary Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a range of welcoming and supportive mainstream primary schools in Castleford and Pontefract.

The role will involve supporting children across the primary age range, including Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You may also provide additional support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.

The Role

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Provide classroom support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Assist children with additional learning and developmental needs
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
• Adapt to different school environments and classroom routines

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting
• Has knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with SEN
• Is confident supporting children within EYFS and primary classrooms
• Is flexible, reliable and able to build positive relationships quickly
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one
