NextGen Teachers are working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Leeds who are looking to appoint experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term positions starting in September 2026.

We have opportunities available within mainstream classrooms as well as specialist on-site Resource Provisions, supporting children with a range of additional learning needs including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teaching and learning within a mainstream classroom or specialist Resource Provision.

• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.

• Providing one-to-one and small group interventions to support pupils' academic progress.

• Supporting children with SEND to access learning and achieve their individual targets.

• Adapting resources and learning activities to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.

• Promoting positive behaviour, confidence and independence.

• Building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

• Contributing to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

About You

We're looking for candidates who:

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent recognised childcare/education qualification).

• Have previous experience working within a primary school setting.

• Are confident supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.

• Have experience supporting children with SEND, or are keen to develop their skills within specialist education.

• Are patient, enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.

• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
