This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience within Key Stage 2, particularly if you are considering a future career in teaching. You will work alongside experienced teachers to support pupils' learning, help deliver engaging lessons, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate will become an integral member of the school team, supporting children academically, socially, and emotionally to help them achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 classrooms.
  • Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
  • Help create an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs and encourage their confidence and independence.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour and learning throughout the school day.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • An education-related degree (such as Primary Education, Education Studies, Childhood Studies or a closely related subject).
  • Previous experience working within a primary school as a Teaching Assistant. This is an essential requirement for the position.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated school team.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach to education.
