Full Time | £120-£140 per day | Temp to Perm (12 Weeks) | Immediate Start

Looking for a role where no two days are the same and you can make a real impact? NextGen Teachers are working in partnership with a specialist secondary school in Horley to recruit a full-time Unqualified English Teacher / SEMH Tutor.

This is a 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for candidates looking to step into teaching or build experience within SEMH / special needs education.

About the Role

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position in a specialist setting supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Your week will be varied and rewarding:

  • 3 days teaching Key Stage 3 English (schemes of work provided + support from English Lead)
  • 2 days delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Focus on literacy, handwriting, and reading comprehension
  • Use structured programmes such as Read Write Inc.
  • Build strong relationships and support students with SEMH and behavioural needs

A unique role combining teaching, mentoring, and targeted intervention support

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour
  • Background in education, youth work, care, or alternative provision
  • Strong interest in progressing into teaching or education careers
  • Confident delivering 1:1 and small group sessions
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable

Unqualified Teachers, Teaching Assistants, ESL Teachers, Behaviour Mentors, HLTSA's and Tutors encouraged to apply
