Hours: Monday to Friday (term time only)

The Role

As a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant / Tutor, you will support children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD/ASC), PMLD, SLD, and complex learning difficulties.

You will work alongside experienced staff to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills, and build confidence in a structured and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting with learning, communication, and behaviour support
  • Supporting students with Autism (ASD), SEND, and complex needs
  • Encouraging independence, social skills, and engagement
  • Supporting sensory activities and structured learning tasks
  • Providing personal care and physical support where required
