Location: Surrey & West Sussex
Pay: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)

NextGen Teachers are recruiting motivated graduates to work as Teaching Assistants across schools in Surrey and West Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience while supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN / SEND).
This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in teaching, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Occupational Therapy.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning challenges.
You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to help pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop key life skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with learning, behaviour, and classroom engagement
- Supporting students with SEN, SEND, Autism (ASD), and SEMH needs
- Encouraging confidence, independence, and social development
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements
- A degree (any subject, completed within the last 5 years)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A driving licence is helpful but not essential
