Location: Burgess Hill (Specialist Provision)
Pay: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 08:45am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Contract: Temp-to-Perm (12 weeks)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils across primary and secondary age groups, helping them engage with learning and develop confidence in a safe and consistent environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
• Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), SEND, and complex needs
• Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
• Creating a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Building strong relationships to support communication and social development
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning activities

• Experienced working with children or young people (education, care, or support work)
• Interested in SEN, SEND, SEMH, or Autism support
• Calm, patient, and resilient
• Confident supporting behaviour and emotional needs
