Location: Horsham, West Sussex (Driver's licence essential)
Salary: £27,122 per annum (paid 52 weeks)
Contract: Full-Time | 12 week Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: September 2026

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or Behaviour Support Worker looking to join a well-structured and supportive school environment?

Due to expansion, we are recruiting two Primary Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist setting in Horsham, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with SEN, SEND, or behaviour experience who are looking for a long-term role with strong training and progression.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils' academic progress, behaviour, and emotional development within a structured and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons
  • Assisting pupils with learning, progress, and attainment across the curriculum
  • Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation in line with school strategies
  • Contributing to individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised support plans
  • Building consistent, positive relationships with pupils
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, Behaviour Support Worker, or similar
  • Have worked with children with SEN, SEND, or additional behavioural needs
  • Are calm, patient, and consistent in their approach
  • Are confident managing behaviour and supporting emotional needs
  • Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
  • Are committed to supporting long-term pupil development
