• Location: Croydon (Specialist SEN School)
• Pay: £90-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
• Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
• Contract: Long-term, ongoing
• Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

We are recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in education, care, or support work who are looking to build a long-term career in SEN / SEND.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in a structured and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with sensory learning and engagement activities
• Supporting communication using methods such as PECS, symbols, and non-verbal strategies
• Providing personal care and mobility support (full training provided)
• Working closely with teachers and specialist SEN staff

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, or
• Care Worker, or have a strong interest in this field
• Interested in supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD, SEND, or complex needs
• Patient, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs
• In possession of an Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
