• Location: Croydon (Specialist SEN School)
• Pay: £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience)
• Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
• Contract: Long-term, ongoing
• Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

We are recruiting a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Croydon. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), supporting their development in a structured and nurturing environment.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them access learning and develop essential life skills.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
• Supporting sensory learning and engagement activities
• Assisting with communication using PECS, symbols, and non-verbal methods
• Providing personal care and mobility support (full training provided)
• Working collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker, or have a strong interest in this field
• Interested in supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD, SEND, or complex needs
• Patient, resilient, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs
• In possession of an Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
