Looking for a rewarding role supporting a child on a 1:1 basis?

We are looking for an Autism Support Worker to join a specialist school setting in Croydon. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in education, care, or support work who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.

The Role

As an Autism Support Worker, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil, helping them access learning and build confidence in a structured and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing 1:1 support tailored to individual needs
Supporting learning and day-to-day school activities
Assisting with behaviour and emotional regulation
Adapting activities to improve engagement and participation
Building a positive, consistent, and trusting relationship

The Ideal Candidate:

Experienced in a support-based role such as Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or similar
Interested in supporting children or young people with Autism (ASD/ASC) or additional needs
Calm, patient, and reliable in your approach
Able to work effectively as part of a team
In possession of an Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
