• Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex (Mainstream & Specialist Schools)
• Pay: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience)
• Hours: 08:45am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
• Contract: Temporary, Long-Term and Permanent Opportunities Available
• Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across primary and secondary age groups with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD/ASC), SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
• Supporting pupils with SEN, SEND, and additional needs
• Helping to create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and social development
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to support individual learning plans

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Passionate about working with children with SEN, SEND, SEMH, or ASD
• Calm, patient, and resilient with a nurturing approach
• Confident in managing behaviour and supporting de-escalation
• Experienced in a school, care, or support setting (preferred)
• Familiar with or willing to learn about EHCPs, safeguarding, and behaviour strategies
