Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant (Psychology / SALT / Occupational Therapy) - West Sussex & Surrey
- Location: Crawley and across West Sussex (Mainstream Primary Schools)
- Pay: £90-£105 per day (dependent on experience
- Hours: Monday to Friday (term time only)

NextGen Teachers are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic graduates to work as SEN Teaching Assistants across a range of mainstream primary schools in Surrey and West Sussex. The Role
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN / SEND) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning and develop key skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Supporting learning across the primary curriculum
- Assisting with communication, social skills, and emotional development
- Helping to manage behaviour and promote engagement
- Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support individual learning plans
The Ideal Candidate
This role is ideal for graduates or individuals with a strong interest in SEN and child development.
You will be:
- A graduate in Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related subject
- Interested in SEN, SEND, Autism (ASD), or additional needs
- Patient, proactive, and eager to learn
- A strong communicator with a positive and supportive approach
- Keen to gain experience in schools before progressing into further training or study
