NextGen Teachers are recruiting a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs in a specialist setting based in Leeds. This rewarding role involves working 1:1 and in small groups to help students access learning, develop independence, and support their well-being. Children at this school are aged from 4 - 16 years and have a range of Special Educational Needs Including: ASD, ADHD, MLD, Speech, Language and Communication needs and complex needs.

This role is to work with the most complex learners in school within the informal pathway and candidates applying for this role must have professional based employment experience working with complex needs children.

Responsibilities:

* Support pupils with complex SEN, including communication, sensory and behavioural needs
* Deliver pre-planned lessons under teacher guidance
* Assist with EHCPs, interventions and therapy programmes
* Provide personal care and wellbeing support where required
* Use de-escalation strategies to support behaviour
* Monitor progress and contribute to a positive learning environment

What We're Looking For:
* Experience with SEN or complex needs (preferred)
* Calm, patient and resilient approach
* Team player with strong communication skills
* Willingness to support personal care (training provided)
