NextGen Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive mainstream secondary school in Crawley. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students, including those with SEN, SEND, autism (ASD), and SEMH needs.

Role Details

• Location: Crawley (West Sussex) - Secondary School
• Hours: 08:30am - 4:15pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
• Contract: Ongoing supply
• Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

The Role

You will work closely with teachers to support students across the curriculum, both in class and through targeted interventions.

• Provide in-class support across a range of subjects
• Work 1:1 and with small groups
• Support pupils with SEN, SEND, SEMH, and additional needs
• Assist with behaviour management and engagement
• Help build student confidence and academic progress

The ideal Candidate

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, Support Worker, or similar
• Interest or experience in SEN, SEND, ASD, or SEMH
• Calm, proactive, and reliable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
