Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Age Range: 4-16 Years

Salary: £26,000 - £29,500 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEND to access learning through tailored 1:1 and small group interventions, including implementation of EHCP targets.
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt learning activities, promote engagement, and track pupil progress.
  • Foster positive behaviour, emotional regulation, communication skills, and independence using consistent and effective strategies.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment, including support with personal care where required and supervision during unstructured times.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals in line with safeguarding policies and Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.

What We're Looking For

  • A caring, patient, and resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • Experience working with pupils with autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, or SEMH.
  • A calm and positive approach to behaviour support and emotional wellbeing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • A proactive mindset with the flexibility to adapt to individual pupil needs.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
