Salary: £18,500 - £21,000 per annum (depending on experience)

NextGen Teachers are delighted to be recruiting Teaching Assistants for a variety of roles across Leeds. We work with a wide network of Primary, Secondary and SEN schools throughout West Yorkshire, offering both short-term and long-term opportunities for the right candidates.

About the Role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
• Work with children with a range of needs, including ASC, ADHD, MLD, global developmental delay, and SEMH.
• Support teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons, adapting resources and interventions where needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for every child.
• Assist with personal care needs where necessary.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience working with children (school-based or similar settings).
• Knowledge and understanding of a variety of SEN needs.
• A genuine passion for supporting children to succeed.
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Minimum GCSE grade C/4 in English, Maths, and Science.
• A Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) - desirable.
