Location: Wakefield
Contract: Full-time, Mon-Fri (8:30am - 3:30pm), term-time only
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)

NextGen Teachers are seeking a compassionate and flexible Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Wakefield.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive school community, working with children with additional needs to help them achieve their full potential and thrive both in and out of the classroom.

You will work closely with pupils with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, global developmental delay, and SEMH. Your role will involve providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support, assisting in the delivery of inclusive lessons, and offering personal care where required.

What we're looking for:

• Experience supporting children with SEN (essential).
• Patience, adaptability and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
• Level 3 Childcare qualification desirable.
