We're looking for a compassionate and adaptable individual with a passion for helping young children flourish. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in shaping children's first experiences of education and making a lasting difference at the very start of their learning journey.

About the Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to create a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for our youngest learners. Your role will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality, play-based learning experiences.
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of engaging activities that promote curiosity, independence, and social development.
  • Providing individual and small-group support to help children progress in line with the Early Years Framework.
  • Building positive, nurturing relationships with children to ensure they feel valued and secure.
  • Supporting with observation, assessment, and recording of children's progress.
  • Helping to maintain a safe, well-organised, and welcoming learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience working with EYFS/reception aged children (school-based or similar settings).
  • Knowledge and understanding of a variety of SEN needs.
  • Willingness to support with personal care where needed.
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Minimum GCSE grade C/4 in English, Maths, and Science.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) - desirable but not essential.

If you're ready to take the next step in your education career and this opportunity sounds like the perfect fit, we'd love to hear from you.
