Special Educational Needs Teacher
Location: Leeds
Contract: Full time (Monday - Friday 8:30 - 3:30). Temporary to Permanent
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £160 - £230 per day (dependant on experience)

Here at NextGen Teachers, we're seeking an SEN Primary Teacher to make an impact in Leeds. We partner with a range of welcoming, inclusive schools who are seeking committed, enthusiastic teachers who will support the continuous education and development of their students, who all have Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the planning and delivering of engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment - ensuring all students are valued, safe and motivated to learn.
- Recording the progress of students.
- Strong communication with all staff members, external agencies and families.
- Participation in extracurricular activities to further enhance students' overall wellbeing and academic achievement.
- Maintaining a caring and understanding attitude towards all students and staff.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
- At least 2 years of teaching experience (The school is open to accepting ECTs, however given the length of the contract, they are unable to sign off on your qualification).
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one).
- Having a calm, caring attitude towards children and their learning and development.
- Passion for making a difference.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of safeguarding and the processes involved in this.
