SEND Support Assistant

Location: Wakefield
Contract: Full-time, Mon-Fri (8:30am - 3:30pm), term-time only
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)

NextGen Teachers are looking for a caring and adaptable SEND Support Assistant to support a Wakefield Primary school. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a friendly, welcoming primary school environment, supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential.

You'll be supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, global developmental delay and SEMH. Duties include 1:1 or small group support, helping deliver inclusive lessons, and providing personal care where needed.

What we're looking for:

• Experience supporting children with SEN (essential).
• Patience, adaptability and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
• Level 3 Childcare qualification desirable.
