About the Role:
NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist school based in Bingley, Bradford. This role is offered on a supply basis, with the strong potential to become a longer-term placement for the right candidate.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access education in a supportive and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons
• Support pupils' communication, social, and emotional development
• Implement behaviour support strategies and follow individual education plans (IEPs)
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupil progress

Who We're Looking For:
We welcome applicants with experience in roles such as:

• SEN Teaching Assistant
• Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
• Support Worker
• Care Assistant
• Behaviour Support Worker (BSW)

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (e.g., ASD, SEMH, complex needs)
• A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
• The right to work in the UK
• An enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
• The ability to provide 24 months of professional references
