SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply)

About the Role:
NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist school based in Bingley, Bradford. This role is offered on a supply basis, with the strong potential to become a longer-term placement for the right candidate.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access education in a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons
- Support pupils' communication, social, and emotional development
- Implement behaviour support strategies and follow individual education plans (IEPs)
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupil progress
Who We're Looking For:
We welcome applicants with experience in roles such as:
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
- Support Worker
- Care Assistant
- Behaviour Support Worker (BSW)
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (e.g., ASD, SEMH, complex needs)
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
- The right to work in the UK
- An enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
- The ability to provide 24 months of professional references
