Full-Time SEN Support Assistant - Primary School

  • Location: Bradford
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

NextGen Teachers are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Bradford who are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to work full-time within the school's in-house SEN provision.

This role involves supporting children with complex needs, providing tailored support to help them engage, develop and thrive in a structured and nurturing environment.

Candidates applying for this role MUST have experience working in schools and with SEN children within the last 12 months.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with complex SEN needs on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Working within the school's specialist SEN provision

  • Assisting with learning, emotional regulation, and daily routines

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

  • Creating a safe, calm and positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Recent and relevant experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience essential)

  • Experience with complex needs (e.g. ASD, SEMH, communication needs, behavioural needs)

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

  • The ability to commit full-time, long-term

  • A proactive and reliable work ethic
