NextGen Teachers are working closely with a friendly and supportive mainstream primary school in the LS26 area of Leeds to recruit a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant. This will initially be on a supply basis, with the potential to be extended long term. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development within a nurturing primary school environment.

The Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (depending on experience)
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons
• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Supporting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience working with children
• Is enthusiastic, patient, and proactive
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Holds, or is willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS on the update service
• Has the right to work in the UK
• Is able to obtain 24 months worth of professional references
