Primary SEN Provision Support Assistant
Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - KS1 (Full-Time)
Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-time, long-term, permanent, term-time only
Start Date: ASAP
NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting an experienced Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a large, inclusive primary school in Leeds. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible, supporting pupils within an in-house KS1 SEN provision.
The Role
You will be working closely with children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and a range of additional needs, including:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Global Developmental Delay (GDD)
Social, Emotional and Behavioural Needs
Support will be provided both 1:1 and in small groups, helping pupils to access learning, develop communication skills, regulate emotions and engage positively with the school environment.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who:
Have previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly within primary or KS1 settings
Are confident working with children with autism and complex needs
Have experience supporting pupils with EHCPs
Are patient, resilient and nurturing
Can work effectively as part of a wider SEN and teaching team
Relevant SEN qualifications or training are desirable, but experience is essential for this role.
