Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to thrive in education? We are looking for a caring, resilient, and dedicated Inclusion Support Worker to join a welcoming and supportive school community in Leeds.

Working as part of a committed inclusion team, you will support children with a range of additional needs and contribute to creating a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can succeed.
The Role
As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers, senior leaders, families, and external professionals to provide tailored support that enables pupils to engage positively with their education and make meaningful progress.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning and accessing the curriculum effectively
- Assist in identifying pupils' individual needs and contribute to personalised support plans
- Deliver targeted interventions and support programmes to improve engagement, progress, and wellbeing
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and their families
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for pupils
- Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and engagement
- Prepare and utilise specialist resources and equipment to support learning
- Maintain accurate records, case notes, and documentation
- Promote inclusion, equality, and positive behaviour throughout the school
- Contribute to the development of inclusive practices and SEND provision across the setting
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality, and data protection procedures at all times
- Administer medication in accordance with school policies when required
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience supporting children and young people with their learning and development
- Experience working with or caring for children of a relevant age group
- A sound understanding of child development and learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Strong teamwork skills and a proactive approach
- Confidence using ICT and educational technology, including laptops, tablets, and classroom-based systems
- A commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and pupil wellbeing
- Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude when faced with challenges
Essential Requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- Training in relevant learning strategies and interventions
- Training and/or experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
- First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND within an educational setting
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
