Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Supply Role

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide supply support within a welcoming primary school in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate holding a Level 3 Childcare Qualification who is looking for a flexible role within education while making a positive impact on children's learning and development.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils across the primary age range and contribute to a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Role

As a Supply Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 classrooms as required.

  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence.

  • Assist class teachers with the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.

  • Support children's academic, social, and emotional development.

  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.

  • Provide classroom support during planned and short-notice staff absences.

  • Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.

  • Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and school routines.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A recognised Level 3 Childcare Qualification or equivalent.

  • Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classroom environments.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting children's learning.

  • A genuine passion for education and child development.

  • The right to work in the UK

Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be advantageous but is not essential.
