Supply Teaching Assistant

Location: Bradford
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm), term-time only, day-to-day supply cover
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £90 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

NextGen Teachers are pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced General Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day cover across a variety of schools in Bradford.

This position is well-suited to a caring, flexible, and committed professional who is passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential.

You'll be joining supportive and inclusive school communities that place the wellbeing of pupils and staff at the centre of everything they do, while playing a key role in helping learners to thrive.

About the Role

  • Deliver small group and one-to-one support to help pupils make progress and build confidence.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, meaningful lessons that inspire a love of learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, focused classroom environment.
  • Support inclusive practice, ensuring that every child, including those with additional needs, can fully participate and thrive.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to provide the best possible educational and personal outcomes for pupils.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience working with children in educational settings.
  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
  • Strong communication, adaptability and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Minimum GCSE grade 4/C in English, Maths, and Science.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) is desirable.
