Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant - School-Based Role (Kirklees)

Location: Kirklees
Pay: £90-£95 per day
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time, term time only (13 weeks holiday per year)

NextGen Tecahers are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a school-based setting in Kirklees, supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

This is a full-time, term-time only role - ideal for someone with experience in schools, youth work, care, or mental health support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with behaviour regulation and emotional needs

• Provide 1:1 and small group support within the classroom

• Help maintain a safe, structured and consistent learning environment

• Follow behaviour and safeguarding plans under the guidance of school staff

• Use de-escalation strategies and relationship-based support

What We're Looking For:

• Experience with young people who show challenging behaviour or have additional needs

• Confident, consistent and emotionally resilient

• Able to build positive relationships and set clear boundaries

• Background in education, care, mental health, or youth work is a strong advantage
