• 13-week of holidays per year (Term-time only)
• Hours: 8:30 - 3:30 (Monday - Friday) - Potential for mornings only 8:30 - 12:30 (Monday - Friday)
• Competitive salary (dependant on experience)

NextGen Teachers are currently working with a Primary School based in Wakefield / Castleford (WF10) who are looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant who can start immediately to support a child in Reception with SEN and Behavioural needs.

This child is currently on a reduced timetable and is in school Monday - Friday (mornings only) so the school are looking for a candidate who is looking for part-time work or full-time work as the goal is to integrate the child back into school full-time.

This child has an Educational Health Care Plan for Social and Emotional Mental health needs and requires 1:1 support when in school to help regulate behaviour in the classroom and to minimise the classroom disruption of other learners.

The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant will be to:

• Support the child on a 1:1 basis in and out of the classroom
• Support the child with regulating their behaviour
• Support the child in all lessons and during lunch-times
• Working with the class teachers and SENCOs to ensure the child is supported at all times
• Support the child with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans
• Supporting and managing the behaviour of the child and promoting positive behaviour
