Location: Secondary School - Crawley

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Type: Ongoing Temp to Perm

Pay: £95 - £105 per day - DOE

The Role

We're looking for a compassionate, confident, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a neurodivergent student within a welcoming and supportive secondary school environment. This pupil benefits from calm, flexible support that helps reduce anxiety and build confidence.

Your role will involve:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 learning assistant support in lessons and in a quiet, structured workspace.
  • Helping to break down learning into smaller, achievable steps.
  • Offering gentle encouragement and emotional reassurance throughout the day.
  • Communicating daily with parents, summarising progress and focus areas for home.
  • Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to adapt tasks and promote positive participation.

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience supporting students as a TA / LSA in a school setting.
  • Understand neurodiversity, autism, or PDA profiles, or are open to developing this knowledge.
  • Are patient, empathetic, and skilled at building rapport.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, students, and parents.
  • Are adaptable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
