NextGen Teachers are currently working with a number of Specialist SEN schools across the Leeds and Bradford regions who are in need of supply cover for Teaching Assistants on a day-to-day / supply / adhoc basis.
The schools we support cater for pupils across the Primary and Secondary age range who have an Educational Health Care Plan and who live with; Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Physical/Medical needs, Complex needs, Social and Emotional Mental Health needs and Behavioural needs.
NextGen Teachers are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who are available on a daily basis to cover sickness, planned absences and staffing gaps in schools which will involve morning calls therefore, candidates applying must be available immediately and have accessible transport arranged for on the day work.
NextGen Teachers are looking for candidates who are free 2-5 days on average per week and who have previous experience working with children and a passion for supporting SEN pupils.
The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant will be to:
- Support pupils in the classroom on a day to day basis with a range of SEN and complex needs
- Support pupils who an non-verbal with communication needs
- Support pupils with sensory learning
- Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and Intervention
- Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans
- Supporting and managing the behaviour of the students
