NextGen Teachers are currently working with a fantastic Special Needs School based in Leeds (LS8) who are seeking to recruit multiple Special Needs Mentors to support pupils with an Educational Health care Plan who live with; Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Physical/Medical needs, Complex needs, Social and Emotional Mental Health needs and Behavioural needs.

The SEN school caters for children from the age of 4 - 18 years of age and the school has a very high staff to pupil ratio. The school are looking for candidate who have SEN experience in ant capacity and who are available for immediate start dates who can attend a trial / interview ASAP.

The school are looking for enthusiastic candidates who have a passion for working with children with SEN and who are available for an immediate start.

The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant will be to:

  • Support pupils in the classroom on a day to day basis with a range of SEN and complex needs
  • Support pupils who an non-verbal with communication needs
  • Support pupils with sensory learning
  • Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and Intervention
  • Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans
  • Supporting and managing the behaviour of the students
