NextGen Teachers are currently working with a SEN school based in Central Leeds, West Yorkshire who are seeking to recruit a Special Needs Support Assistant who is seeking a full-time position working with SEN children starting ideally as soon as possible in the next 1-2 weeks.

The SEN school caters for children from the age of 4 - 16 years and caters for a range of children who are Neurodiverse and live with; Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, Speech Language and Communication needs, Learning needs and who may have Complex needs. All candidates applying for this role MUST be comfortable with personal care and MUST be able to start ASAP.

The school are looking for enthusiastic candidates who have a passion for working with children with SEN and who are available for an immediate start.

The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant will be to:

• Support pupils in the classroom on a day to day basis with a range of SEN and complex needs
• Support pupils who an non-verbal with communication needs
• Support pupils with sensory learning
• Working with multiple pupils and supporting students with 1-2-1 support and Intervention
• Support pupils with their holistic development in line with there Educational Health Care Plans
• Supporting and managing the behaviour of the students
