SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Wakefield
Contract: Supply Cover - Potential for long-term extensions - 8:30am-3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £90 - £95 per day (dependent on experience)

NextGen Teachers are seeking a caring and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to support a specialist school in Wakefield. This is a great opportunity to work within a welcoming school environment, supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential.

You will support pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, global developmental delay and SEMH. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, assisting with inclusive learning activities, and providing personal care where required.

What we're looking for:

• Experience supporting children with SEN (essential)

• Patient, flexible and nurturing approach

• Strong communication skills

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

• Level 3 Childcare qualification (desirable)
