Education Care Assistant - PMLD (Secondary SEN School)

Part-Time | 3-5 Hours Per Day | 5 Days Per Week

A specialist SEN school in Bradford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Care Assistant to support secondary-aged pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

This role is ideal for candidates who are confident supporting pupils with personal care and hygiene needs and who want to make a meaningful difference in a school-based care and education setting.

The Role:

• Providing personal care and hygiene support, including toileting, feeding and changing, in line with care plans

• Supporting secondary-aged pupils with PMLD and complex needs throughout the school day

• Assisting pupils with mobility and physical support, where required

• Supporting emotional wellbeing and ensuring pupils feel safe, dignified and respected

• Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to meet individual needs

• Helping to maintain a clean, safe and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD or complex needs (school, care or health settings)

• Confidence and sensitivity when delivering personal care and hygiene support

• A caring, patient and resilient approach

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Relevant care, SEN or health qualifications are desirable but not essential

Working Hours:

• 5 days per week

• 3-5 hours per day (term-time only)
