SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply)

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis at a specialist school in Bingley, supporting students aged 11-18.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and well-established specialist setting that caters for young people with additional needs. There is strong potential for the role to become long-term for the right candidate, subject to positive feedback and performance.
The Role:
- Supporting students aged 11-18 with a range of Special Educational Needs including ASD and ADHD
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning plans
- Assisting with academic, social and emotional development
- Supporting students with communication and sensory needs
- Working closely with teachers, SENCO and wider support staff
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, specialist setting, care or support background)
- Patient, empathetic and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students
- Relevant qualifications or training are desirable but not essential
- The right to work in the UK
- An enhanced child and Adult DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
