About the Role:
NextGen Teachers are delighted to be working in partnership with a forward-thinking specialist school in Leeds, seeking an inspiring KS3/KS4 SEND Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate teacher who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.

The School:
This inclusive and nurturing specialist provision caters for students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), and/or autism spectrum conditions (ASC). The school prides itself on creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where every learner is valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential, academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role Will Involve:

  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs and EHCP targets
  • Building strong, positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
  • Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff and therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to each pupil's development
  • Promoting independence, confidence, and resilience in every learner

About You:
We're looking for a teacher who is:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in a SEND or mainstream setting
  • Experience teaching up to GCSE level
  • Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum
  • Passionate about inclusive education and student-centred learning
  • Skilled in managing behaviour positively and building trust with pupils
  • Creative, flexible, and reflective in your approach to teaching
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and teamwork
