Teaching Assistant
SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time - Temp to Perm
Location: Haywards Heath
 Start Date: ASAP
 Duration: Ongoing full-time supply 12 weeks temp to perm 
Term time annual salary - £20,201 - £21,180
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you want to make a real difference in a nurturing and supportive environment? NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistant to support specialist SEND school in Burgess Hill.
This is an exciting opportunity to join inclusive and supportive school and work in small groups or as a 1-2-1 TA, breaking down tasks and building trusted relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and guardians.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to students' individual needs
 - As and LSA assist the class teacher in delivering personalised learning strategies
 - Help to create a safe, positive, and structured learning environment
 - Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and external professionals
 - Support the emotional and social development of students with SEN as a dedicated TA
 
Requirements:
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting additional needs
 - Previous experience working with children or with young adults either in education, care social care as a youth worker or mental health support
 - Patience, empathy, and a flexible, proactive attitude
 - Excellent communication and teamwork skills
 - Right to work in the UK
 - Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
