Salary: £29,997 - £32,476 per year (Term Time Only)
Location: Huddersfield, HD8
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time | Term Time + 5 Inset Days
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
About the Role
NextGen Teachers are seeking a passionate, creative and resilient Behaviour & Engagement Coach to join an SEMH specialist school in the Huddersfield (HD8) area.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs-helping them re-engage with learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes.
You will coordinate and deliver structured engagement activities, develop positive relationships, and work with local agencies to support pupils' personal and academic progress. The school offers a supportive environment, high-quality training, and a strong focus on staff wellbeing.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have all of the following:
GCSE Maths and English at Grade C / 4 or Functional Skills Level 2 equivalent
A relevant Level 3 qualification (such as Education, Youth Work, Health & Social Care, or a related field)
A full UK driving licence and access to a car
Experience working with children or young people in a school or care environment
Experience supporting students with SEN or SEMH needs
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Salary and Benefits
£29,997 - £32,476 actual annual salary
Term time only (38 weeks) plus 5 inset days
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
