Next Generation Teachers are proud to be working in partnership with a Specialist School in Huddersfield to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Inclusion Support Worker to join their committed team.

About the Role

As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people to engage fully in learning, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and self-regulation skills. You'll work closely with teaching staff and inclusion leads to provide both academic and emotional support, ensuring every pupil can access the curriculum and reach their potential.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Supporting students with SEMH and additional needs in both classroom and alternative settings

  • Building trusting, positive relationships with young people

  • Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies

  • Promoting inclusion, independence, and emotional wellbeing

  • Working collaboratively as part of a passionate and experienced staff team

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced working with young people who have additional or complex needs (experience in SEMH settings is desirable)

  • Able to build rapport quickly and maintain professional boundaries

  • Confident in using initiative and working as part of a team

  • Committed to supporting inclusive education and positive outcomes for all learners

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Youth Work, or equivalent) are advantageous, but not essential for the right candidate.

Why work at this school?

  • A nurturing and inclusive school community that puts wellbeing first

  • Excellent ongoing professional development and training opportunities

  • Supportive leadership and a strong sense of teamwork

  • Opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people
